A Response To Those Liberals Who Have Been Silent On Lowes Versus Citizens That Are Muslim

When 99% of Citizens are not disgusted by Lowe’s, we are in trouble as a nation

The following is a response I wrote to a comment added to a post in “The Democrat Cafe”, a facebook group. Initially I wrote a post critical of how Lowe’s bent over for the Florida Family Association in regards to the “All American Muslim” show on TLC. I expected some of those who espouse Liberal ideology to be righteously offended by the bigotry of both the Florida Family Association and Lowe’s management. Instead there was silence and then a suggestion that Muslims are bad.

The Day After

If there was ever an indictment to suggest that the Purple Americans are a force to be reckoned with it was yesterday’s election. Although the rhetoric from all the pundits is still rings of the pre-election fear mongering, the results demand a smarter debate that reflects on more than the last six months. Hopefully after the election dust settles, the media pundits, the new mix of legislators and the Obama administration can actually stop selling us agenda with sound bites based on misinformation.

Listening to various shows giving their post-election summaries this morning I get the idea that the media is as disconnected from reality as is Washington D.C. It is clear that to get to the table as either a guest or pundit, for the most part, you have to be loudly on one side or the other. I am not suggesting that being loud is a bad thing just that being loud on any side is what Citizens just voted against. I will suggest that like the shows, most of the newly elected legislators have yet to get the message and that is one thing you can thank the cable news networks for showcasing. It is clear that if these shows served one purpose this morning it is to capture the lack of new spirit coming into the House and to a lesser extent into the Senate.

Launch minus 15 hours! Rally to Restore something….

Wudman is a Purple American

Wudman, just another Purple American going to the Rally to Restore Sanity!

I know this is suppose to be a “Rally to Restore Sanity”, but actually the idea is sort of nutty. Fortunately my purple cape is almost done thanks to my sister, Maj Wood (USAF Ret). Not only could she navigate a KC-135 tanker to be in the right place, at the right altitude and going in the right direction, she can sew! I guess that is a habit you get good at when you spend days in bunkers on alert. The ride is in gear and I will meet up with my pilot later this evening and we will head out tomorrow morning around 5 AM for the 13 hour drive. We will be piloting his diesel bug that gets about 58 mpg on the freeway which makes this “sanity” a bit more affordable. We worked out the dinner last night over a veggie spaghetti with chunky garlic bread, pan seared flounder and salad. I figure I should feed the pilot well.

About the cape…
What a nice cape it is! Very purple to represent the theme of my website and adventure. It is lined should it be a breezy low sixties in Washington D.C. as forecasted. It flows well, and will be appropriately branded to reflect the website. It also has an ability to be extended like a wing through the use of dowels and clever sewing. The lining is a message unto itself for under the purple, it is red, white and blue. Add it up folks! Take the flag, blend the colors and you get…purple.

I hope to post a picture later this evening of the cape. Now I am sort of still fluctuating on if I am going to dress in my purple long johns. Is there another message I can share by being in purple underwear? If there is, it must suggest that as the way politics goes, as the way the insanity if going, we will all have nothing but underwear to our names as our politicians seem to be giving everything we work hard for to the corporations, Chinese and other assorted plunderers that seem to be the focus of their favors and policies.

John “The Purple American” Wood
The Wudman!

Where will all the Americans who are between the “Red” and “Blue” extremes be?

In Washington D.C. on October 30th it seems. In what started out to be a joke, there is energy beyond the politics of red and blue. In this case a co-hosted event featuring a march to “Keep Fear Alive” and a rally to “Restore Sanity” as promoted by John Stewart and Stephen Colbert¬†¬†will now be attended by “ThePurpleAmerican.Com”! The ride is in play, now I am focusing on my media kit, equipment and purple superhero cape.

Yes, I have contracted with a local creator of superhero costumes for the appropriate tights, cape and superhero mask. Yes, my reason to blog here is serious, but the new media on occasions demands a bit of extreme response to gather the appropriate attention. Hence, I will be appropriately attired to ease access to the areas necessary to share this great event with those who cannot attend because of job, family, expense or lack of whatever resource.
